Transeasonal weather can be tricky, but I once read that the key to bridging the gap between Summer and Autumn was to add a layer and a change of shoe. This is is now my mantra.
It was warm today so this blouse was perfect because it still has an air of Summer about it, but mixed with ankle boots and these culottes, it was the perfect transeasonal option. Plus, it has oversized sleeves, which are a big thing this season. Thinking big, with exaggerated silhouettes, strong proportions and flowing lines has a/w16 all over it.
As the blouse is a little fussy and definitely exudes something Pirate-esque, I kept everything else simple; monochrome, straight black culottes and a classic ankle boot. This leather Warehouse clutch is also simplistic and timeless too . By the way, if you haven’t checked out Warehouse‘s latest overhaul with Emma Cook taking the reigns as creative Director, then it’s an absolute must. It’s got a complete new look and it’s right up my street.
As for the culottes, blouse and boots, I could say “all zara everytthhhang”. These boots are super comfy, slightly pointed and perfect for A/W 2016. I have to admit, I’m a sucker for buying a new on-point pair of black ankle boots every Autumn and on a day-to-day basis, I barely take them off. I could say the same about these culottes, purchased back in May. They quickly became common occurrence amongst my Summer outfit choices. As a work wear essential, I did end up buying them in red and a black and cream striped pair too.
The sunglasses are Miu Miu, purchased at the airport on our way to a ski trip in March and whilst I felt a little naughty at the time, even the packaging was worth it – *heart eye emoji*. I currently am loving the same style with a flecked edge, they’re just dreamy!
