Table styling is one of my favourite things to do. I am passionate about design and my 9-5 is working on corporate events. This involves designing event concepts from save-the-dates, right through to what happens on the day / night of the event and this is something I generally *L O V E* doing.
Here’s the table set-up for my family Halloween dinner, complete with pun-kins. I do love a pun.
The pumpkins are real and spray painted using gold and black paint from hobby craft.
I made the place names and the bats on the plates using one of my favourite modern calligraphy fonts: Sophia. Complete with the following phrases just for fun:
- If you’ve got it, haunt it
- Trick or treat yo’self
- Creep it real
There are lots of different ways to have fun with it, tall candlesticks or tea lights? I specifically chose tea lights for this as I wanted the pumpkins to be the main focus.
Do you lay out the cutlery traditionally or tie them up? Where to put the napkin and should it match the tablecloth? How can you decorate the centre of the plate, foliage or a menu? Did you want it to look more formal or not? There’s so much you can do to make it look different.
I specifically used our Jamie Oliver wine and water glasses for Halloween as I feel they look more like goblets and were more fitting for the theme.
I hope this provides you with some table styling inspo!
