Leopard Love

It’s true I have such a massive obsession with leopard print – I could rival Pat Butcher, I’m sure!! That said, I won’t be following in Pat’s wild footsteps, but instead putting myself in these beautiful boots, to take a walk on the wild side!

The good thing is animal print never really goes out of fashion, ok, sometimes it may take a backseat, but often it’s there somewhere and I do firmly believe it has the ability to inject personality in to pretty much any outfit, but like with most wild animals – approach with caution. My preference, especially with footwear is to go with a hide effect, and not the print – texture here is key!

I like to keep colour blocking simple when I’m wearing animal print and at very least tie in a colour that fits the tones of the print as I have done in my outfit story (below). I’ve styled them more for winter in this particular outfit choice, however, I’ll be wearing them right in to spring, especially as a key trend is Jungle Fever… more to follow, but think animal prints, military colours etc.

I’d tied this in with an old camel jumper similar to the one featured below, a vintage coat (similar available in my outfit story), and this fab fitting pair of jeans – available here – don’t they just have the perfect amount of distressing!? I’ll be wearing them right in to summer with basics, that’s for sure.

Question is, will you be embracing your wild side this ss17?
