Another big trend this upcoming season, I mean it’s been around for a little while, but it will still be big news for SS17 and that’s music to my ears as it’s just so comfy!!
I particularly love these trousers and this take on the trend with the wide-leg (so “in” right now), unusual side split, and in my favourite tonal combination: monochrome of course.
As they’re monochrome I felt the need to team it with this Zara blouse (available here – I’ve also linked similar in the shop my outfit reel below). I loved its striking print and how different the bold star pattern is, plus it has a boat neckline, a floaty Chloé feel, and statement sleeves. YES, YES, AND YES. Plus stars are everywhere at the minute, and feature in a few of the big designer’s collections, including Givenchy, Saint Laurent & Dolce & Gabbana. Lucky for me, this particular one was a snippet of the price!
To add texture and a bit more quirk to the outfit, I added a furry clutch bag (an old purchase from topshop, but similar is available below – I LOVE the Marc Jacobs version (also below)).
Draped over one shoulder is one of my favourite coats from Zara at the turn of 2016 – that oversized aviator. Of course, this one shoulder look is an outfit update – not the most practical, but I love a draped coat as it is, and the one shoulder approach has also featured A LOT during fashion month, particularly draped off one shoulder, and I have to say as it’s a bit different, I’m all over it. If you can’t experiment during fashion month then when can you, right?
P.s. one of these pictures is ultra posey (even for me) and I had to giggle at it – you can blame (storm) Doris for that one, but nevertheless I took it as a great accidental photo op! Back soon xxx
