Top 10: beauty must haves…

I definitely have some absolute favourites in my make-up bag and because I couldn’t live without them, I thought I’d share them with you! All of these items are things I would wear on a day-to-day basis (and I’ve linked them in my make-up reel below).

Victoria Beckham Highlighter:

Whenever I wear this (I wear it as both a highlighter and sometimes as an eyeshadow too) lots of people ask what product it is and it has to be my favourite powder highlighter, I love the colour  -it’s of a rose gold shade and it really lasts on my skin too. Although, it sells out quickly so you may have to register for updates for when it’s available online, Victoria Beckham after all is the queen of highlighting. Whilst expensive the first one I bought lasted me a whole year so it’s well worth it and you can buy this here.

Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil Eye Liner:

My friend recommended this eye pencil to me and I have it in both Black and Whisky and I love them – they really go on well, are a really great colour and as the name suggests it really lasts too!

Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Eyeliner:

This has been my favourite liquid eyeliner for years – it has a nib rather than a brush, which makes it so easy to apply and again it lasts, plus it’s such a good price point its hard to go wrong.

YSL Touche Éclat Glow Shot:

I love this – I bought it for the wedding and I apply it regularly underneath my highlighter or on it’s own to give my skin have a more dewy effect and I love the texture of this too.

YSL Touche Eclat and Smashbox’s Photo Finish Radiance Primer are my absolute favourites. I just love the texture of YSL’s Touch Éclat primer, it reminds me of the texture in Bare Minerals original primer, and Smashbox’s Photo Finish Radiance Primer is great for dry skin (that’s me!) and leaves me with a more dewy effect which I’m a big fan of, and both of course help make my makeup last longer, always a benefit!

Benefit Browzings:

I use this for shaping / colouring in my brows – it comes with a double ended brush so you can shape your brows with the wax effect  and a powder, and again it lasts all day. When I’ve recently had HD brows, I now only use the powder until they get slightly fuzzy, require taming again,  and then I start using both again.

MAC lip pencil:

My favourite nude lip pencil is by MAC and it’s called “Whirl.” It certainly helps define my lips, as well as helping my lipstick stay put. I edge my lips with it and then put it all over my lips too for extra staying power, but first, I also apply a bit of vaseline, and blot it as it really helps lock the moisture in and makes my lipstick look better too!

Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick:

My favourite nude lipstick has to be Charlotte Tilbury’s Very Victoria – a browny nude which tends to suit me more than any other nudes, plus I just love her lipstick’s textures – super creamy and lasts nicely on my lips. I love Charlotte Tilbury’s and NARs lip glosses, and I’m also a big Bobbi Brown lipstick fan.

Giorgio Armani Colour Corrector:

This is like magic in my make up bag – it hides all kinds of dark circles and I will forever be grateful for it. I usually apply this over my foundation and under my concealer.

I’ll be back soon with a bridal make-up blog and some foundation tips.

Lucy xoxo

P.s. you might notice mascara’s not on here – I’m still switching and trying to make my mind up – let me know if you have any favourites?! Oh and foundations, I have a few favourites so I’ll do a separate blog about that too.
